Goals
- To support Britannia as the HUB of the Grandview-Woodland and Strathcona communities.
- To support programs and initiatives that support the transition stages of students - school readiness, secondary school readiness and post-secondary readiness.
- To work with partners to improve the performance of students, in both academic performance and social responsibility.

How Do We Do This?
We work with six elementary schools and multiple community groups to coordinate afterschool events and summer programs. We also work with multiple partners to create an environment where children and youth can attain achievement in a supportive and safe environment.

What We Provide
We provide intervention on two levels:
- Targeted programmes to address specific needs for students and families.
- Non-targeted programmes which capture a percentage of vulnerable students and increase general engagement and/or knowledge.
This includes:
- Academic support for academically delayed students through initiatives such as co-teaching and providing teaching strategies to classroom teachers.
- Summer camps for over 200 kids in six weeks of sports, arts, writing and law
- After school programmes for children and youth such as Heroes Hockey, Fine Arts and Sports
- In-school programmes for children and youth such as Arts Umbrella, Sara McLachlan music program, Literacy, RSVP, Class meetings, Leadership class
- Bursary and scholarships
- East Side Basketball program for girls
- Partnerships with multiple organizations to assist in program deliveries
